Jennifer’s reporter

The first time I met Jennifer was in the late 80′s when she was married to independent filmmaker, Alexandre Rockwell.  At that time my family was living in Paris, and they came to visit us.  My father had been recommended by their mutual friend, John Cassavetes to play a part in Alex’s movie Sons.  Initially, John was supposed to play the part himself, but sadly by that point in his life he was too ill to perform.  This was the first time Jennifer shared screen credit with my father.

Così inizia il racconto di Samantha Fuller di come ha conosciuto Jennifer Beals nel 1992 quando suo padre il regista indipendente Samuel Fuller  diresse Jeibì nel film “Tinikling - The Madonna and the Dragon”. Ora nel centesimo anniversario del padre e in memoria di esso, La Fuller propone il film  A Fuller LIfe, dove coinvolgendo 12 artisti, vuole raccontare il padre, attraverso 12 brani che lo rappresentano. Jennifer così si ritrova narratrice del capitolo Crime reporter. Il film-documentario per chi fosse interessato, sarà presentato al Festival del Cinema di Venezia 2013 (28 agosto-7 settembre) nella selezione ufficiale Venezia Classici. Magari magari metti che una capatina a Venezia la faccia anche la brunetta?
